Four team members also received All-Conference Academic recognition, and two earned the Commissioner Medal. Representing the Runnin’ Bulldogs among the 2,734 student athletes across the SoCon on the Honor Roll team include: Todd Carter, business administration. Ty Edwards, biology. Rocky Files, physical and health education. Gunther Gerstenacker, exercise science. Jeffrey Jacome, exercise science. James Johnson, business administration. Hunter Jones, sport management Tyler Lamon, management. Brendan Martin, undecided. Nathan Pepin, biology. Ty Porter, exercise science. Jackson Potts, exercise science. Matthew Roland, political science and international affairs. Max Salerno, criminal justice administration. Charlie Sly, biochemistry. Isaac Stocker, sport management. George Wilson, biology. The SoCon Academic Honor Roll was established to recognize the conference’s academic success and consists of student-athletes who participated in conference-sponsored varsity sports and posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher for the academic year. The award differs from the Academic All-Conference award, which is determined by cumulative grade point average and involves a participation requirement. Achieving this honor were Carter, Jacome, Pepin, and Wilson. , who finished with a 3.97 GPA while completing his degree in business administration, and , who maintained a 3.84 GPA while majoring in biology, were recognized with the Commissioner Medal from the Southern Conference. They were among 846 student-athletes in the league who attained a grade point average of 3.80 or higher throughout the year.
