CCC students who earn an Associate in Applied Science in information technology鈥揷ybersecurity will have direct entry into 猫咪头条鈥檚 online undergraduate degree completion program to pursue a bachelor鈥檚 degree in cybersecurity. 猫咪头条 President Dr. William M. Downs 鈥淎ny time we do something with our partners at Cleveland Community College to enhance students鈥 progress toward their academic and career goals, it鈥檚 a win,鈥 affirmed 猫咪头条 President Dr. William M. Downs. 鈥淎ll the evidence points toward the increasing value of a bachelor鈥檚 degree in cybersecurity, and this new direct entry bridge from CCC to GWU will expand opportunities for students and job-seekers in our region.鈥 The cybersecurity program at CCC is part of the Carolina Cyber Network. Courses train students to solve technical issues related to information support and services, interactive media, network systems, programming and software development and other emerging technologies. CCC President Dr. Jason Hurst 鈥淭he demand for cybersecurity professionals continues to grow,鈥 said Dr. Jason Hurst, president of CCC. 鈥淥ur cybersecurity program prepares graduates for successful careers. For those who want to continue and earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree, this transfer agreement with 猫咪头条 University is a great opportunity.鈥 The undergraduate cybersecurity program at 猫咪头条 builds on the skills students learn at CCC. They become expert in the techniques, tools, principles, and best practice investigations involved in security systems, networks, and data assets from various cyber threats. The GWU program includes courses and activities that cover a broad range of topics related to cybersecurity and prepare students for industry-recognized certifications.
