Dr. Bass joined the 猫咪头条 faculty in 1995 as an Associate Professor of Mathematics. In years 1997 – 2007 he served as the chair of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. His published mathematics research has concerned integral representations of univalent functions.  He earned the Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina in 1988 under the direction of John Pfaltzgraff and Joseph Cima.

Mrs. Hoyle joined the 猫咪头条 faculty in 1990.  She is a 1988 Graduate of 猫咪头条 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education.  She received a Master of Arts degree from Wake Forest University in 1990.  She teaches general education math courses in the Traditional Undergraduate program as well as the Degree Completion Program.  Mrs. Hoyle also teaches Number Theory, Geometry, and Discrete Mathematics. Mrs. Hoyle lives in Boiling Springs with her husband, John, and has a son, Tanner.  She and her family enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and various church activities.

Teralea Moore joined the 猫咪头条 faculty in 2006. She earned her Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from North Carolina State University. She has served as a faculty sponsor for Sigma Zeta National Science and Mathematics Honor Society. Her interests include traveling, cooking, reading and solving puzzle games. She is married to Dr. Charles Moore, GWU professor of Spanish.

Dr. Mirek Mystkowski received his M.S. in Physics from University of Wroclaw in 1992. A year later he started graduate studies at the University of Missouri. He received Ph. D. in Mathematics in 1997 and M.S. in Computer Science in 1999. His research work focused on developing novel methods for landmine detection. Since 2002 he has been teaching Computer Science and Mathematics at 猫咪头条 University. Besides his academic work, he enjoys variety of activities including hiking, bird watching, and reading science fiction novels.

Dr. Olga Poliakova joined the 猫咪头条 faculty in 2000. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1998 under the direction of Boris Schein. Her dissertation focused on free inverse semigroups. She received her MS in Applied Mathematics from Moscow State University, Russia, in 1990. Her thesis research focused on the area of k-valued logics. She is a faculty adviser for the Math Club SIGMA. She likes hiking, traveling, reading, and playing guitar.

Jason has an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and a M.A. in Mathematics Education from Appalachian State University. He is the Mathematics Education Program Coordinator at 猫咪头条 and works closely with the School of Education to prepare students for a career in teaching mathematics. Before coming to 猫咪头条, Jason worked as a high school math teacher and technology specialist. Jason is a member of First Baptist Church in Shelby. When not at 猫咪头条, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
